Puppy Update!
Our baby girls are now 6 weeks old! Poinsettia has proven to be Daddy's little girl and is never happier than when running as fast as she can to catch up with her parents. Caspian returns the affection.
Pizzelle, most often, is content just laying in her pen. However, she does run almost circular laps around her pen.

They're Here!
After what seemed like a ridiculously long wait, Jewel went into labor on the 13th and had two little girls! They're both sable like their momma, but look a little darker.

Pizzelle
We named them Great Joy and Glad Tidings, but we call them Pizzelle and Poinsettia for fun. They are incredibly soft! Jewel is a good mommy and a warm one at that!

““Our harvest being gotten in, our governor sent four men on fowling, that so we might after a special manner rejoice together, after we had gathered the fruits of our labors; they four in one day killed as much fowl, as with a little help beside, served the company almost a week, at which time amongst other recreations, we exercised our arms, many of the Indians coming amongst us, and amongst the rest their greatest king Massasoit, with some ninety men, whom for three days we entertained and feasted, and they went out and killed five deer, which they brought to the plantation and bestowed on our Governor, and upon the Captain and others. And although it be not always so plentiful, as it was at this time with us, yet by the goodness of God, we are so far from want, that we often wish you partakers of our plenty.”
Happy Thanksgiving!

“Listen: I am ideally happy. My happiness is a kind of challenge. As I wander along the streets and the squares and the paths by the canal, absently sensing the lips of dampness through my worn soles, I carry proudly my ineffable happiness. The centuries will roll by, and schoolboys will yawn over the history of our upheavals; everything will pass, but my happiness , dear, my happiness will remain,in the moist reflection of a street lamp, in the cautious bend of stone steps that descend into the canal's black waters, in the smiles of a dancing couple, in everything with which God so generously surrounds human loneliness.”

“there is this one photograph... that is just beautiful. it would be impossible to describe how beautiful it is, but I’ll try. if you listen to the song “asleep,” and you think about those pretty weather days that make you remember things, and you think about the prettiest eyes you’ve known, and you cry and the person holds you back, then i think you will see the photograph. ”
